Training

Thomas Schwarb Méroz has an outstanding track record in Swiss schools around the world. His experience in educational leadership and management is reflected in his ability to foster critical thinking, respect for difference, responsibility and autonomy in students. Among the multiple pedagogical responsibilities she has held are the following:

• Director of Education at Schule Neftenbach, Canton Zurich, between 2020 and 2023.
• Head of Department for Primary and Secondary Education in the Department of Erziehungs, Canton of Schaffhausen, between 2016 and 2019.
• Director of the Swiss College of Madrid between 2011 and 2016, where he managed a budget of €6 million and was responsible for approximately 600 students. In addition, he supported the participatory management of the institutional vision and mission.

Its pedagogical philosophy is committed to the mission of Colegio Helvetia de Bogotá: to offer an education based on the Swiss pedagogical system, multilingual and focused on the development of individual competencies to achieve academic excellence in Colombia, Switzerland and in the global context.

Life

This is not the first time that Thomas Schwarb is in Bogota and in our school. Between 2008 and 2011, he was Cycle Director, assuming responsibility for the educational and administrative management of Secondary I and II. During this time, he liked Colombia so much and had so much empathy with the environment that he decided to have his daughter here. Now, Thomas and his family are celebrating being back.
